Have you been watching Fox News all of a sudden? Or did you recently join the Pat Buchanan brigade?
The only difference between what the Pilgrims did to the American Indians and what's happening today with immigration is that, illegal or otherwise, it's very necessary for the inner workings of this country. Our economy depends on the services that are provided by immigrants --- from those that provide farm labor to software engineering labor. There are simply not enough Americans that can or want to do the range jobs fulfilled by immigrants. Period.
Offering asylum for those who are here to break the law is not a viable solution. And we can build fences between the border all day long, but how long will that prevent someone from entering?
